Comanche Creek Golf Course
Comanche Creek is a tidy 9-hole layout that rolls through Fort Mason Park. This is a simple track with minimal hazards that will build the confidence of the average golfer, and is a great place for those just learning the game. The course is well maintained and the fairways and greens are in great condition. The terrain is mostly flat, but does feature some mounding. The greens are small and elevated. It’s a great course to walk.

History of Comanche Creek Golf Course
The Comanche Creek Golf Course is a unique golf course, working almost entirely by volunteer efforts, from the original excavation to the current maintenance. In the late 80’s, the people of Mason came together to build the Comanche Creek Golf Course for the community. A greens expert came in from San Saba with their recommendations, and everyone set to work using county and volunteer equipment to get the job done. The school kids came over from Mason ISD and helped redistribute rocks. The City of Mason has done a great deal to provide the land and help with water maintenance. It truly took everyone’s helping hand to create this wonderful space for our community to appreciate for years to come!
